Delete your account
Last updated: 2026-05-13
You can ask us to delete your Track Tutor account at any time, from any platform you signed up on — the website, the Android app, or the iOS app. This page explains how to make the request and what happens to your data afterwards.
How to request deletion
Send an email to support@tracktutor.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We'll verify the request, complete the deletion, and email you to confirm.
If you own a group with other members, please mention in the email whether you'd like the group transferred to another manager or deleted along with your account — see below for what each option does.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile — name, email, password hash, OAuth links (Google / Apple), and any saved preferences.
- Your memberships— you're removed from every group you belong to, along with your voice-part assignments.
- Your invitations and notifications — pending invitations sent to your email and any in-app notifications addressed to you.
- Your authentication tokens — all active web sessions and native-app refresh tokens are revoked, signing you out everywhere.
- Groups you own — if you own a group, the default is to delete the group along with its playlists, uploaded songs, audio files, and member list. You can ask us to transfer ownership to another manager instead.
- Creator content (if you're a Track Tutor Creator) — your creator profile, your songs, your playlists, and any shares with other groups are removed.
What we may retain, and for how long
A few items are retained briefly after deletion for legal, security, or operational reasons:
- Database backups — encrypted backups roll off our retention schedule within 30 days. After that, your data is no longer present in any backup.
- Anonymized usage analytics — aggregated, anonymized counts (e.g. monthly active groups) are retained for product-improvement purposes and cannot be linked back to you.
- Server logs — request logs that include IP addresses are kept for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and debugging.
- Transactional email records— SendGrid retains delivery metadata for emails we've sent you (e.g. invitations, password resets) for their standard retention window. We do not store the email body.
Timing
We process deletion requests within 7 days of receiving and verifying the request. Most are completed within 1–2 business days. The backup roll-off described above completes the process within 30 days from deletion.
Reactivation
Account deletion is permanent. Once we've completed it, your data cannot be restored. You're welcome to create a new account in the future, but it will start fresh.
