Communications and a shared Calendar for your group
Every group gets two new tabs — a Communications feed for announcements and a shared Calendar for rehearsals and events, with recurring dates, private meetings, and email reminders you control.

Running a group is mostly logistics. Who's singing which part, which recording is the current one, and — the eternal question — when's the next gig. The music is the fun part; the coordination is where things quietly go sideways.
So we added two things to every group: a Communications tab and a Calendar tab.
Communications
Announcements shouldn't live across three chat apps and one email nobody opened. The Communications tab is one place for group messages — post an update and it's there for everyone, in order, whenever they open the group.
- Owners and managers can post. Prefer a more talkative group? Flip a setting so any member can post too.
- New messages get an unread badge on the tab, so nothing gets buried.
- Want them in your inbox? Group messages can arrive by email — it's on by default, and you can switch it off any time.
To let members post, open your group's settings and turn on "Let all members post messages."
Calendar
Every group now has a shared calendar for rehearsals, performances, sectionals — whatever belongs on it.
- Calendar and list views — see the month at a glance, or just scan what's coming up.
- Recurring events — set your weekly rehearsal once. It handles the repeat, and stays put across daylight saving, so 7pm never quietly becomes 6pm.
- Private events — planning a board meeting? Make the event private and invite only the people who need it. Everyone else never sees it.
- Time zones — each event keeps its own zone, so a "7pm rehearsal" reads 7pm for everyone looking at it.
- Owners and managers add and edit events; the whole group sees the public ones.
Your next five events also show up right on your dashboard, under My Events — so the "when's rehearsal?" question mostly answers itself.
Staying in the loop
Both features can nudge you by email — a new message, or a new event — and you decide which. Open Account Settings from the user menu to choose exactly what lands in your inbox.
Where to find it
Open any group on the web app and you'll see the new Calendar and Communications tabs alongside your playlists. Nothing to install.
